Armstrong Marine Delivers
Survey Catamaran to NOAA’s Chesapeake Bay Office.

Port Angeles, WA, January 6th, 2011: 

The all aluminum 32 x 11 Armstrong Catamaran was custom outfitted to provide a
stable survey platform for ongoing acoustic seafloor habitat mapping projects
in the Chesapeake Bay and the Mid-Atlantic region. The cabin hosts a large
survey desk, monitor racks, shock mitigation computer racks, stand-up head and
seating for two Hydrographers. Deck accessories include a gunwale mounted USM
sonar mount, fabricated “A” frame for mobile deck equipment, and quick release
mounts for a slip ring deck winch.

and Field Science Manager at the NOAA office commented,

    PTO bracket for hydraulic pump

  • USM Side Mount Sonar Arm for R2Sonics, Reson,
    and Benthos

  • High Clearance Davit with electric winch
